The Inside Edge has from the outset, approached its markets in both the International and National spheres of activity under the one trading umbrella of The Inside Edge (Pty) Ltd (previous to1997 as The Inside Edge cc) with an approximate split in activity between the markets of 70% to International and the balance in the National arena.
However, although there are numerous operational synergies between the two markets, and indeed the staff “crossover” on demand, the reality is that each market requires a different marketing approach and creative focus. The decision was thus taken early in 2003 to effectively split the operational entities, with each having its own dedicated company structure independent of the other. This would, among other things permit maximisation of market penetration and yield, an area in which the National “Division” had hitherto not received the exposure, which could be justified in terms of infrastructure and ability. A conscious decision was also taken to expand the client base within the National market, as opportunities were evident when viewing competitor activity.
The result is the formation of The Inside Edge-Event Management (Pty) Ltd, details of which appear hereunder, with its own dedicated staffing complement and operational infrastructure, although it will still be able to call on personnel from both companies when the need arises.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Inside Edge, together with its key preferred suppliers, offers the full spectrum of event and incentive coordination from creative through planning, through execution and to conclusion. Events, Meetings and Incentives for attendees numbering between 5 and 2000 can, and in fact, have, been handled.
