The stadium has a planned capacity of between 70,000 and 80,000 people. Moses Mabhida Stadium is in the Kings Park Sporting Precint A 350 m long free span arch will hold up the roof of the stadium, the top of the arch will rise to 106 m above the pitch. The arch will consist of a 5 x 5 m steel hollow box and will weigh 2 600 tons when complete. A cable car will carry visitors up the middle of the arch, to a viewing platform on the north side. The south side will have a 550-step adventure walk.

The new stadium will be built on a 10.6 Hectare site in the suburb of Green Point, within walking distance of the city’s popu-lar Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. With Table Mountain as a backdrop it is sure to be one of the most impressive venues on show.

The stadium will be approximately 7 kilometres from the city centre of Nelspruit and 12 kilometres from the nearby Kruger Mpumalanga airport. It is also close in proximity to the finest game parks giving spectators easy access to see wildlife on rest days, or if so de-sired even on the morning of days when matches take place. Upon completion the newly built stadium will have a seating capacity of 46000.

In 1995 the stadium was the venue for the final of the Rugby World Cup which the Springboks dra-matically won in extra time starting never before seen euphoric celebrations throughout the rain-bow nation crossing cultural divides.

Loftus Versveld stadium is a sports sta-dium in the heart of Pretoria, Gauteng.The stadium has a capacity of 52000. For the 2010 World Cup Loftus is receiving a multi million Rand facelift incorporating amongst other things a roof over the currently open East stand.

In Mangaung, Free State stadium will be utilised as the main venue for the hosting of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. The Free State stadium will be upgraded from the current seating capacity of 38 000 to 46 000. To achieve this seating capacity only the current grand stand will need to be upgraded.
